Just so we're clear

Someone posted an anonymous comment that they thought my locking my 2 year old nieces hair "was a terrible thing to do because she will never know her natural hair". Okay, just so we're clear...
  1. I don't mind people's opinions and love diverse opinions, however, I don't deal in punkery. If you are going to disagree with me don't do so anonymously.
  2. If her hair is locked, it is natural.
  3. If she decides to take them out later and get to know what you consider to be her "natural hair" then she can take them out like everybody else. I just got done taking my daughter locks down.
  4. Don't be so dramatic, it wasn't child abuse. We all make hair choices for our children. My sister has a relaxer and did more for her daughter than many relaxed mother do for their children.
Just thought I'd share my thoughts with the lurker that signed on anonymously.

My 1 year old niece!

My sister asked me to lock my niece's hair. She stays with us during the day so I was able to take my time. It took about 4 days to finish. It could have been a shorter time span, but no rush since she is home with us all day anyway. When we started them she was about 1 1/2 and now she is 2 years old. I have done 1 tightening and she is due for another soon. She always asks me to shampoo her hair and afterward like many of us she commences to swinging her hair. LOL These pics are from the initial installation.

Here's one more pic

How about my husband shampooed and twisted my hair. I know y'all jealous. LOL

I'd like to introduce you all to a sister that does some beautiful work. Mahogany homeschooler is her screen name on FB, but she is a true artist. I will be adding more pictures of her work, but in the meanwhile this is a picture of a simple copper piece. Here is her link http://www.artfire.com/modules.php?sterm=earths+finest&cb=8&name=hypersearch. Go check her out! You won't be disappointed.
